Kid's Camp
Derrynane Seasports has been running this hugely popular camp for over 15 years! It just gets better and better. Kids Camp is a basic introduction to Water Sports through the medium of fun and play.
Kid's Coastal Camp (5-7) will introduce children to the shoreline, wildlife, beach, and water's edge with appropriate activities and games
Kid's Camp (7-12) will introduce Canoeing, SUPing (Stand Up Paddle Boarding), Snorkelling, Body Boarding and Surfing (if the weather conditions allow). There are a variety of fun water based games intertwined with the activities and every year we introduce one or two new and novel sports and games. We also do things as simple as jumping off the pier (when the tide is in of course!) and Rock Pool Exploring.
We stop for a quick 10 minute break to catch our breath and enjoy hot or cold orange and digestive biscuits and then we are off again till hometime!
On our last day we hand out the well-deserved certificates to our little friends.
Teen Camp
We started Teen Camp in 2010 and it gains in popularity every year. It is a great way to meet other Teens and have a bit of craic, whilst learning new sports or catching up and improving on old ones.
Activities will include –
• Sailing
• Windsurfing
• Canoeing/Kayaking – We canoe/kayak around the harbour and to certain venues, but we also play games with the canoes/kayaks
• SUP’s - Stand Up Paddle Boards
• Snorkelling- An exciting look at the underwater world
• Surfing/Body Boarding - if the surf is up
• Archery
• Muli Person Mega Giant Stand Up Paddle Boards
Each year, we introduce one or more new activities. We have an exciting camp planned, full of fun activities for the teens, with endless possibilities for games and team-building. One of the oldest and most popular traditions is the "timeless" jump off the pier during high tide—a favorite moment where everyone gets involved, even the instructors!
Whether you are a beginner or more experienced, we can accommodate your needs.
We finish off with receiving your well-earned Certs.

Our Instructors
All our instructors are police vetted and handpicked for their experience in their field and with children. They are well qualified and full of fun and many of them with us for several years. There is one instructor per every 4-5 children and a first aider is always on standby.
All children must wear the life jackets that we provide from the time they arrive until they leave at all times. We provide wet suits but if you have your own you are welcome to wear it.
It's important kids and teens alike understand their instructor is in charge at all times.
